As part of an increasing awareness of security and continuing efforts by the CSU Monterey Bay Information Technology department to provide a secure computing environment, on November 10, 2009 at 8:30 am Network Services will be performing network maintenance on the campus edge firewalls.  This maintenance effects inbound traffic from outside the firewalls to local campus systems, servers or any device that has been assigned a static IP and special access through the fire wall. During this maintenance there is no anticipated interruption in service for all 'known' campus systems. Every effort has been made to identify all servers, devices or systems that are currently accepting inbound connections from outside the campus. Please be advised that there may be systems that are not known to the IT department either by not being communicated to the IT department and/or being missed in the extensive application discovery that has been performed. During this maintenance these 'unknown' devices will lose inbound connectivity. If in the event that an 'unknown' device loses connectivity immediately contact the Technology Support Services Help Desk at 582-HELP (4357). Every effort will be make to restore any inadvertent loss of connectivity as quickly as possible.
